Villa Ponente

An evening house. Everything faces west, and the day ends on the terrace.

The owners asked for one thing precisely: dinner outside, two hundred nights a year. The rest of the brief followed from that sentence.

Glass and warm stone, arranged around the pool terrace. The kitchen, the long table, and the shallow step into the water all share one level and one view. Bedrooms turn east, so mornings stay private and evenings stay public.

The house is lit like a lantern by seven; by eight nobody is indoors.
